FCL Summer School 2024 - Dense and Green Cities: Exploring New Models of Integrated Urban Development
In Year 2024, the CEA Team is collaborating with [FCL] Future Cities Laboratory’s research module - [DEN] Dense and Green Cities - to present an ETH Summer School Course on sustainable urban (re)development.
Want to spend your summer time in Zurich and learn CEA?
Currently, we are able to accept participants across the ETH-domain.
In general, the summer school is open to bachelor, master and doctoral students as well as researchers with a background in architecture, urban design, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Attendees should be strongly interested in exploring interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary knowledge and approaches of urban planning and urban design using computational tools.
What are the programmes*?
Keynote lectures by Prof. Sacha Menz;
City tour in Zurich and case study site visit;
Presentations on the work of Dense and Green Cities;
Input lectures on energy-driven urban design
Training on [CEA] City Energy Analyst and ArcGIS Urban planning;
Seminars with collaborating stakeholders in Zurich;
Mid-term and final presentations.
